The libel of the abrogating and abrogated on the Noble Quran.
by : Hadeel
Many of us have heard of abrogating the verses of the Qur’an and accept them reluctantly, but faith, love for God, and trust, that God Almighty does not change His saying (the word will not be changed with me, and never will I be unjust to the servants) war 29, makes some go to the scholars, perhaps he will find the answer to this question:
Has God Almighty changed and abrogated his words in the Noble Qur’an? Unfortunately, however, he does not return except with a hidden longing. This scholar or sheikh replies to him by saying, “Yes, our Lord has changed and abrogated his words!”
And if you ask why?
In response to you, do not argue too much, for God is not asked about what He does while they (others) are being questioned.
But if they went back to themselves for a little while and pondered the Book of God, they would find the crime they committed in the Book of God clearly for sure.
The fact that the “scholars” – those who say abrogation – know and ignore, that abrogation in the Qur’an, in their limited sense, does not differ from the belief of al-Badda among the Shiites, which says: “It is that God commands the matter and decrees the decree, then appears to him to change it.”
This is one of the infidel beliefs as This was stated by Islamic scholars.
What is the difference between badda’ and abrogating the Qur’an with the Qur’an or abrogating hadiths with the Qur’an?!.
Many Muslim scholars have denied the existence of this great falsehood that contributed to the abandonment of the Qur’an and the demand for narrations and hadiths that divided Muslims into sects.
The strange thing is that those who said abrogation differed on the way of abrogation and on the number of abrogated verses.
Some of them said that the Qur’an is not abrogated except by the Qur’an.
And some of them said that the hadith abrogates the Qur’an.
And some of them said abrogating the word and the survival of the ruling.
So what is the abrogating and abrogated, and Insa’a ( انساء and nasi’a is to defer , to delay, or for what comes next or late, depending on usage) intended in the saying of God, the Blessed and Exalted, ((We do not abrogate or forget a verse, we bring something better or similar to it. Did you not know that allah is over all things competent))? Baqarah 106
The abrogator: This is Islam, this great religion, and this is mercy and goodness, and the Muhammadan Sharia law, the whole set completed by the grace of God.
And it is the final version of gods law that abrogated previous prophets sharia laws.
The Abrogated: They are the laws of the previous prophets & nations, and what God told us about them in the Quran about their books, prophets and messengers, and what they were given of signs, proofs and miracles to prove their prophecies and their message, and among them are the verses for their books, i.e. the Scriptures, so God abrogated what was needed to be abrogated and what’s left formed with the new laws as one.
Al-insa’ or deferment or what’s to come late : Which rulings and laws have been forgotten and we no longer know anything about them. The Almighty said: (And We have sent messengers before you, some of them We narrated to you, and of them we did not narrate to you, and it was not for a Messenger to bring a sign except with God’s permission, so when God’s command comes, it is judged with truth, and the false ones fail).
That is, there are messengers about whom God Almighty did not inform us. These messengers came with verses (rulings and laws, as well as miracles.) These verses are considered forgotten for us, so we do not know anything about their rules and laws because they have been forgotten.
Therefore, those who said and created “the abrogator and the abrogated” have no evidence for the invalidation and abrogation of God’s rulings:
1- From the Book of God, His Revelation, and His Final Words, which they slandered and stabbed against, because it is the final and abrogating book, the container and the alternative to all the heavenly books and the books of the previous ones. In another verse, the one who described it and described each verse in it as being complete and detailed, and that this Qur’an “does not come to falsehood…” and he said about it …………..
Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or behind it, to be proven false from any angle. ˹It is˺ a revelation from the ˹One Who is˺ All-Wise, Praiseworthy. Fussilet 42
(This is a book whose verses were made clear and then detailed from the hands of a wise and experienced person) hud 1
2- They have no evidence from the words of the Messenger of God, who did not even utter the word abrogating or abrogated for the 23 years of his call, and this is God’s will to refute this falsehood and misguidance on this great religion, and he has priority over people, he’s the owner of the call, the cause, and the sender of this religion, that, if There was any abrogation of any sort, he would have been the first to clarify and explain it, specify the verses and their number…etc.
Therefore, and because this blasphemy has no origin in the Book of God, which he received as a revelation from his Lord, no hadith has been reported from him in this regard, or the word “naskh”, and the period of 23 years is not a short period,
so, it is not a year or two or three for the Messenger of God would miss an explanation like that, and leave the nation floundering and differing all this difference, on such an important matter if it existed, and if the matter had existence, and he avoided delivering what has been sent to him from god, Then they might as well say that prophet Mohammad didn’t deliver the message fully.
These are some of the contradictory examples that those who say abrogating and abrogated are inferred, which indicate their narrow-mindedness and ignorance of the meanings of the verses of God:
1- A lie called the verse of the sword
Those who say abrogation have brought some Qur’anic verses and understood that some of them erase and abrogate others, and among these verses is a Qur’anic verse which they called the verse of the sword.
They claimed that this verse had abrogated, erased and eliminated 200 verses of the Qur’an…
Such blasphemy that comes out of their mouths that they say only a lie.
If you cite the Almighty’s saying (There is no compulsion in religion, rightness has become clear from error), They respond to you by saying, “verse of the sword abrogated it.”
And if I invoke (invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good exhortation, and argue with them in a way that is best)
They replied to you by saying, “verse of the sword abrogated it.”
And if you cite the saying of the Most High: (And if your Lord had willed, those on earth would have believed, all of them all. So would you compel people until they were believers)?
To respond to you by saying, “verse of the sword abrogated it..”
And if I quote (God does not forbid you from those who did not fight you on the basis of religion and did not expel you from your homes, that you treat them kindly and treat them justly) they said, “verse of the sword abrogated it.,” so where is the verse of the sword?
The scholars differed (as usual) in defining this verse, but most of them agreed that it is the saying of the Most High: “But once the Sacred Months have passed, kill the polytheists ˹who violated their treaties˺ wherever you find them,1 capture them, besiege them, and lie in wait for them on every way. But if they repent, perform prayers, and pay alms-tax, then set them free. Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Verse 5 Chapter 9
Note that the word “sword” did not appear in the clear book not once, for it is a name that the Lord Almighty did not call it, but it emerged from the imagination of those who say abrogation.
And if we read the rest of the context, we would find that what is meant by the context by fighting are the polytheists who expelled the Messenger and his followers from their homeland, Mecca, and took possession of their homes, their money, and their children, property
and they were empowered over the believers, not observing covenant or a bond with them, because they hindered from the way of God and that they are the aggressors, and they are the initiators, By aggression and expelling the Messenger and his followers from their homeland by force and oppression, and plotting against him, to kill him.
The verse is specific and specific to the infidels of the aggressors of Quraish, and it does not cancel out the many verses that talk about mercy, dealing with wisdom and good exhortation, and not being forced.
Also very important, that this verse was an answer to those who were eager to fight and asked god for a verse ordering them, so the previous verse came down as a one time matter, but the preceding verse is from verse 20 – 24 chapter 47
(( And the believers say, “If only a sûrah was revealed ˹allowing self-defence˺!” Yet when a precise sûrah is revealed, in which fighting is ˹explicitly˺ mentioned, you see those with sickness in their hearts staring at you like someone in the throes of death. It would have been better for them 20
to obey and speak rightly. Then when fighting was ordained, it surely would have been better for them if they were true to Allah. 21
if you ˹hypocrites˺ turn away, perhaps you would then spread corruption throughout the land and sever your ˹ties of˺ kinship! 22
These are the ones who Allah has condemned, deafening them and blinding their eyes. 23 )) then came down Verse 5 Chapter 9 as an answer to that. Just to clarify, that because it didn’t come in the same chapter in tandem they couldn’t put one and one together,
but, what they didn’t know is that the request was at a time and the answer was at another, hence the two different chapters, also I would like to input that all verses containing the stories of prophet Mohammad is not part of the message to obey and practice, but lessons for us and a window into their lives.
2- The lie of the forged verse (stoning),
They say that it’s recitation was abrogated and the ruling remained, citing a narration attributed to Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, that says ((The sheikh and the adulterous Sheikha, if they fornicate, stone them both)).
This fabricated narration does not fit linguistically with the Qur’anic discourse, for in addition to its linguistic weakness, its meaning is very wrong, as the sheikh (male) and the sheikha (female) in its linguistic meaning are the elderly male and elderly female, and may be among them, the married and the unmarried.
And there may be a married young man, which means that this fabricated narration does not apply to him!
The funny thing here is that there is another narration with a valid chain of narrators, which also invalidates this narration (the sheikh and the Sheikha, if they fornicate, flog them all).
Is the ruling here in this case stoning or flogging?
Then what is the purpose for God to come up with a verse that contains such a dangerous ruling, then cancels its recitation and maintains its ruling?
So they’re trying to say that god in no space and time couldn’t make up his mind by the time this verse came down?
Exalted be God greatly above what they say and fabricate.
3- The lie of abrogation in the prohibition of alcohol.
They confused the prohibition of alcohol in itself, with the prohibition of another action whose action is linked to the effect of alcohol on this act.
The Companions, were portrayed as alcoholics who needed to gradual abrogation verses in order to recover from this affliction. God says: “O you who believe, do not approach prayer while you are drunk until you know what you are saying.”
Those who say that the Qur’an was abrogated by the Qur’an said that this previous verse was abrogated and it is no longer applied because there is another verse that abrogated itself that says:
O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid1 it that you may be successful. Verse 90 chapter 5 … note that it said avoid it ( the intention), not them ( the deed itself).
The truth is that there is neither abrogation nor abrogated between the two verses.
If There is a weak person among the people who drinks alcohol disobeying God, but at the same time performs prayer, so whoever drinks wine disobeys God, and wants to pray, his prayer is not accepted until he wakes up from drunkenness and knows what he is saying. So where are those who say that this verse is invalid?!
And to bring the picture closer so that the meaning becomes clear, let us suppose that there is a person, who stole money and then gave it in charity. Charity is a good deed, but here it is linked to a forbidden act, and so is prayer in the case of alcohol, so doing it is obligatory, but it has no value when you perform it while you are drunk.
The prohibition of alcohol is the prohibition of complementarity and reinforcing, which is forbidden in itself, and there is a righteous and obligatory deed that is forbidden to perform because its action is linked to the effect of alcohol on him.
Where did they get the abrogation and abrogated here in these verses?!.
In conclusion, the libel of abrogation and abrogated that was attached to this great Qur’an: is a lie, a misguidance, “and a poisonous stabbing” and a crime against God, directed at God’s words and his final revelation, may be unintentionally and without bad intention on the part of some, as a result of a wrong understanding of verses from the Book of God that they used as evidence.
And they are confused more coming out of it, than before going in it, and they differed that difference, and until now they did not agree on the least harmful thing they said towards the words of God and His revelation, which is the number of verses abrogating or abrogated, and their difference is evidence of the invalidity of what they said, and each of them took from the other and increased and decreased and confused, may they pay the price for misleading the people.
Therefore, the summary of this “crime and the poisoned stab” is insulting to God, insulting the trustworthy revelations of Gabriel, insulting his noble Prophet and Messenger, insulting the writers of revelation and insulting the memorizers of this great Qur’an.
